Overview

The Business Applications Analyst is responsible for assisting with business process analysis, development, maintenance and enhancement of business applications, and providing specialized technical or business knowledge to projects.  This position will work through the creation of functional requirements and test plans in support of the business process design, new system development, software implementation prototype and system testing, user training, and recommending business procedure improvements. Responsibilities

Independent thinker that possesses product knowledge of multiple Oracle Financials modules, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger or Credit & Collections. Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills. Understands the standard development life-cycle activities, from requirements definition through design, testing, implementation and post-production validation.

  • Act as liaison between business users and technical support in the daily support of Canon Oracle and 3rd Party Applications.
  • Work closely with business users to understand business process and requirements.  Translate business needs into process improvement and technical enhancements.
  • Create detailed IT Functional Designs in order to expand Canon Business Solutions' acumen.
  • Triage and resolve system issues.
  • Create and perform functional testing of all system defects and enhancements.
  • Work closely with Oracle Development resources to insure proper communication of Canon Business Solutions requirements.  Review technical documents to insure cross application integrity is considered.
  • Insure all documentation standards are followed for their Business Areas.
  • Assist in the development of training materials.
  • Assist with routine patch testing and upgrades; oversee the conversion of data and testing of interfaces/extensions as necessary.
  • Must be flexible and willing to travel  as projects require.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or comparable field
  • Experience in Customer Support and Training
  • 2-5 years Document Solutions Industry experience
  • Oracle ERP experience inFinancial Modules; Accounts Receivable; Accounts Payable and General Ledger
  • Experience in Salesforce.com
  • 2-4 years experience in Sales
  • Skilled in SQL
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • 10% travel (mainly in-state)
  • Hands on experience with GL, AR, AP or Advance Collections
  • 70% functional and 30% technical
  • Clear understanding and hands on experience with GL/AP/Fed Admin/AR Accounting setups
  • Experience across the entire standard development life-cycle
  • Experience writing functional/business requirements and preparing functional designs
