Overview

The Canon Solutions America Product Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing the messaging and positioning for LFS products and creating innovative marketing programs that drive demand. The successful candidate will provide our sales force with the information required to advance product sales, and be the champion for new product innovations. You will be subject matter expert in buyers/target markets, customer buying process, evaluation criteria and translating into compelling demand generation and sales enablement tools.  This candidate will also provide support to the LFS Sales team and contribute to lead generation programs and materials and have responsibility for product management for specific products in the greater Canon Océ large format portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates your products in the market
  • Product launch – plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross functional implementation of the plan
  • Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team, support with product expertise, and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products
  • Demand generation – develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for your products
  • Market intelligence – be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to crush them

  • Ability to distill technical subjects into clear value propositions
  • Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent project management skills to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects/campaigns, and track details effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the company in an articulate, professional manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with other team members
  • Proactive, inquiring, analytic, energetic personality that is driven to deliver quantifiable results
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or digital video editing is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in a product marketing and/or vertical market marketing capacity.
  • Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into customer benefits.
  • The ability to drive results in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Strong presentation skills and influencing ability are a must.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide effective decisions based on sound judgment
  • Experience marketing/selling to large format, graphics, and/or commercial print markets in a B2B environment is desired.
  • Ability to drive the implementation of programs and objectives across teams/functions.
  • Some travel is required
