    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include:

    • Review and address General Affairs Facilities Work issues on a daily basis.
    • Coordinate and oversee safe, secure and operationally sound facilities in cost effective manner.
    • Inspects a portion of each facility each day, so that the entire property, exterior and interior, is inspected on a regular basis, and document using the Facility Inspection Checklist.
    • Performs general facility maintenance (plumbing, electrical, etc); inventories, anticipates, and requisitions; replenish supplies and stock required for continuity of daily operations.
    • Checks primary conference rooms, leased space, and common areas weekly; and inspects facilities informally for carpet stains, marks on walls that need touch-up, damaged or stained ceiling tiles, bent or broken window blinds, etc.
    • Arrange Preventative Maintenance as per contract; e.g. HVAC; fire alarm & extinguishers. 
    • Maintain inventory of excess furniture for re-use within CSA facilities.
    • Ensure recycling guidelines are addressed.
    • Maintain general safety and security.
    • Monitor facilities’ access/alarms.
    • Maintain appearance and environment of facilities.
    • Coordinate space utilization.
    • Be proactive in addressing the facilities needs in a cost effective manner.

    Qualifications

     

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 2 years similar role
    • Knowledgeable in all facility operating systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and security
    • Ability to read blue prints
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to interact with all levels of infernal staff as well as vendors
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Understanding of systems and furniture
    • Microsoft Office knowledge; Visio experience is a plus
    • Ability to work during non-business hours, as needed
    • Possess a valid drivers license
    • Be able to lift 50 pounds
