    Canon Solutions America, headquartered in Melville, Long Island, is searching for a dynamic Bid Marketing Specialist to join our team in the Enterprise Services and Solutions Division. This proactive individual will follow general guidance to project manage bid activities and develop responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs) in support of our National Sales Team. The Bid Marketing Specialist will lead the bid process and will be responsible for all aspects of proposal writing. 

     

    The Bid Marketing Specialist is an essential role for the Company and acts as a liaison between the Bid Marketing, Strategic Pricing and other departments and divisions within Canon Solutions America and related entities to effectively coordinate a collaborative process, consolidate information, and develop a professional response for each bid proposal, while maintaining and updating a shared Bid Library.

The Bid Support Specialist is responsible for all aspects of proposal writing.  As part of our Bid Support Team, they will prepare responses to Requests For Proposal (RFPs) in support of our Sales Team.     Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and project manage all activities as they relate to developing bid responses by creating and acting as an administrator/coordinator in the fulfillment of putting together a formal, professional reply on behalf of Canon Solutions America, Inc.
    • Provide in depth support in responding to customer RFPs/ Bids.
    • Coordinates and leads Bid conference calls with Sales Team and other internal team members and/or business groups throughout the organization.
    • Participate in vendor question and answers and help present Bid scenarios.
    • Act as the lead person for problem resolution regarding Bid processes by providing efficiency and offering suggestions to management on improving content, administration and services provided by the department.
    • Provide content for proposal library to aid future responses for Bid Team.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Marketing (or equivalent work experience)
    • Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in business writing, including RFP experience. Grant writing experience a plus
    • Demonstrates strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize multiple work assignments at any given time. 
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Excellent problem solving skills
    • Knowledge of Word and Excel
    • Knowledge of RFP software a plus
